Keeping the conversation going
Educating ourselves and learning from others
Centering voices and experiences of those who experience intersectional issues and are at the periphery of your focus and attention.
Open yourself and learn to be challenged in your ways of thinking and doing work, that’s an essential part of adopting an intersectional approach.
Reflect on who you are and what your position and power is. It will help being transparent towards the communities you aim at representing and to acknowledge your own limits.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it is how you learn and make progress in your journey.
As difficult as it may be, it is a worthwhile effort. Adopting an intersectional approach has to do with your politics, values and principles. It will make your work stronger and more meaningful.
